I have some bad news for most men who are fans of a specific NFL team. Only 1 of the 32 teams will end up at the top. Meaning a vast majority of those fans will be left disappointed. The Kansas City Chiefs have the best odds of winning again, yet they have one of the smaller fanbases when compared to the big ones. (Sorry Cowboy fans)
Most fans don’t expect their team to go all the way, though they might have a sliver of hope. If you are a Patriots fan (they have close to 7M fans on Facebook) and they end up winning 10 games this season and lose in the wildcard round, you might only be disappointed a little bit but would be left satisfied for the season, since that would be more than double the expected wins.
Why are we talking about football on a lingerie website?
I came across a Facebook post from The Marriage Bed that peaked my interest:

If you happen to be an avid fan of a particular sports team, your team’s success (or lack thereof) has a big impact on your testosterone levels.
Here is a quick summary of the study by Oxford et al. (2010):
Oxford et al. (2010) investigated the hormonal responses—specifically testosterone and cortisol—of male sports fans before and after watching a competitive sports match. The study aimed to understand how the outcome of the game (winning or losing) influenced these hormone levels and to explore the broader psychological and social impacts of sports fandom.
Male fans of the winning team experienced an increase in testosterone levels of about 20% post-game.
Conversely, fans of the losing team showed a decrease in testosterone levels of about 20%.
If you have not heard, a man’s sex drive is directly linked to his testosterone levels. So, if it’s Sunday (or Thursday, or Monday…) and you plan to be intimate with your partner, you might want to recognize the connection between the game’s outcome and his mood.
If his team won, he would usually naturally have more energy and be in a better mood. It probably won’t take much convincing to get him into bed early that day.
If his team lost, it might take a little more to get him into the mood. (some sexy lingerie might do the trick)
What might even be worse is that fans of losing teams choose to eat less healthy foods and some drink more alcohol, both of which probably won’t be beneficial in the bedroom later that night.
If any of this sounds familiar, plan ahead. For example, don’t wait until Sunday night to have sex. If you (the female) want to encourage him after a “tough loss”, wear one of his favorite lingerie sets of yours.
Go Hawks! (and nope, I don’t expect them to go all the way this season)
